- Shave the area the day before. Don't wax, pluck or have electrolysis for at least 4 weeks before, because the laser needs the hair root in place. Avoid tanning and self-tanner, and wear SPF 30 or higher on the area. Tell us about any medicines you take, including Accutane.

- Your treatment is performed by a licensed laser technician with more than 15 years of laser hair removal experience. We don't rush. We don't overbook. You'll wear protective eyewear, and we use the laser that suits your skin and hair. Each pulse feels like a quick snap, like a rubber band, with cooling to keep you comfortable. Small areas like the upper lip take a few minutes; larger areas like the legs or back take longer.

- Some redness and swelling for a few hours is normal; a cold pack helps. Protect the area from the sun for six weeks. Treated hairs shed over the next few days to weeks.
